New Shooooes!

For the most part, I really prefer Ideeli over Rue La La but Rue La La's shipping really dominates (with Hautelook at close second and Gilt in third). Ideeli is just SOOO slow. I ordered some sweaters two weeks ago and they won't even be in the mail for another week...sigh.

Well back to the main event... my NEW wedding shoes are here::

So here are the pros:
*These shoes are super comfortable!
*They are a little less busy than the Betsey Johnson's so they'll probably go with my dress better.
*I love the bling
*Easy to walk in.

Here are the cons:
*They may be too much. I worry that they are little glam for my wedding.
* I also prefer the color of the Betsey Johnson's they are a little softer pink and not so shiny.

That's about it. Thankfully I'm marrying the nicest guy in the world and he told me I could just keep them both :D YAY!

Um... a third pair of wedding shoes...

So I bought a third pair of wedding shoes. (Bows head sheepishly) I don't know what's wrong with me! Here's the deal: I saw these shoes on Rue La La just days after I had ordered the Betsey Johnson's. I literally gasped when I saw them but I exercised an uncharacteristic amount of will power and didn't buy them. Then I got a free $20 credit from Rue La La AND the shoes came back during the Shoe Blow Out... PLUS I didn't even log on to Rue La La until 3 hours into the sale, and the only sizes left were a size 6 and a size 8! Are you kidding me!?! My size is never left. The icing on the cake, the shoes only ended up costing me $39 (Original price $159)!

Point is, I HAD NO CHOICE! It was meant to be...:D

I'll let you know when they get here. If I don't love them, I'll return them. Otherwise, I am going to sell :( the Betsey Johnsons. (I promised D. I have to start being more financially responsible)

Do you have your shoes yet? More importantly do you suffer from commitment issues or just a case of indecisiveness?

P.S. If you aren't on Rue La La yet, here's an invitation from me to you :D

eff U-P-S

I hate UPS! It turns out that I am on the 2-5 segment of the UPS route, which is actually perfect because I ONLY have class from 250 - 630 and work from 230-5. Argh! Even better, the UPS guy NEVER gets here between 2-230 its always like 2:37. Just late enough that I don't seem him on the street but close enough to 230 to drive me INSANE!

I've been waiting quite impatiently for my Piperlime order (Badgley Miscka Shoes) and my bridesmaids' dresses. I am not entirely sure why I wait when I know that I won't get them. So I finally decided to make the hike up to the Bronx to pick up the packages on my own.

Luckily I don't live that far from the Bronx but it still required a cross town bus into East Harlem, and a train ride up into the Bronx. Then I wondered aimless around until a kind gentleman said, "UPS? Down that way."

So after numerous angry emails, stern phone calls and one trip to the UPS Customer "Service" Center in the Bronx, I finally have my shoes and the bridesmaids' dress!

I am not entirely sure I love these shoes more than the other ones. I don't know, what do you think? I may have built them up to much in my mind. Plus I have never been a huge strappy shoe person, I love they way they look on other people but I think they make my ankles look huge, my feet look wide and my toes are all splayed out over the edge.

I have not opened the bridesmaids dresses because I wanted to ask permission first! Once I talk to them I'll be sure to post an update.

SHOOOOOOOOOOES!

(I really have no idea why the box looks like it was run over by a UPS truck!... knowing UPS, it probably was)

My Betsy Johnson wedding shoes are here! It's been a gross rainy day in NYC so these were a pleasant surprise. I actually think they are adorable. I think they may actually be my wedding shoes!

(I apologize in advance for the horrible pictures/lighting... taking pictures of your own feet is pretty difficult.)

The only problem is that they are really high and I don't want to be taller than D in all our wedding pictures. On the other hand, I will probably be barefoot for the ceremony since it is on the beach.

Hmmm...

D isn't home right now so I'll have to wait until he gets home to make the final determination!

Three pairs of wedding shoes!

So I've been going back and forth about these Badgley Mischka shoes. I LOVE them but I hate how popular they are. Then I got a 30% discount off anything email from piperlime and I knew I just had to do it so I finally go the shoes! Plus they were only $100! (Original Price $215)

But then I saw these:
They are kind of cute, right?? Especially, if I decide to go with flats instead of heels...since we ARE getting married on the beach. Assuming it doesn't rain then we'll do it on the covered terrace... hmmm

THEN I saw these on Rue La La today, which were on Ideeli two weeks ago but they didn't have my size... SO I GOT THESE TOO!

I don't know how I ended up with three pairs of wedding shoes but they are all returnable so hopefully I'll be able to make a decision once they get here. Which ones do you think are the best? I could keep two I suppose... one for the ceremony, one for the reception?

Shoe Festish: Obsession much

I was really really really trying to be a good student today. I was checking on the delivery of my International & Comparative Criminal Law book from Amazon (yes, we are ten days into the school year and I still haven't cracked some of my textbooks) but when I logged onto Amazon this is what I saw:

Even Amazon wants me to find a gorgeous pair of wedding shoes! That being said, I heart Karen Millen! I don't know much about here but I ran into these shoes on ASOS. Although I adore all four of them, I think that the three gray ones would be a perfect selection for my wedding day! (Yes, I think I need three pairs of shoes.)

Shoe Fetish: Fresh Finds!

This weekend I spent a good hour and a half at DSW trying to find wedding shoes. Unfortunately there was nothing that really stood out but I didn't come home empty handed. I got a great pair of black BCBG flats!

SoI am still on the hunt for shoes, which I may have to put on hold because everyone has their fall colors and boots out now. Si I may haae to wait until next spring or New Years (because I love sequins and glitter!)

I'll also have to keep a close eye on all the sample sale websites such as Gilt, Ideeli, Rue la la and Haute Look!

For instance, today Ideeli had these amazing Betsy Johnson shoe sale! I particularly love the baby pink stilettos with the roses... unfortunately I was at work until 3 so by the time I got to my computer they were all sold out in my size :*(

{Betsy Johnson}

But I also found these great Betsy Johnson Shoes on my new favorite shoe site, Heels.com!

{Betsy Johnson - Law $135}

Did you notice they are called "Law"? It seems like it could be meant to be...

Shoe Festish: Best Bets for Buying on a Budget

So the best thing about shopping online is that you can try the shoes on in the comfort of your home, and if you already have your wedding dress, it means you can try it on with your dress!

I am a huge fan of shopping online because I love getting packages in the mail. I know its a little ridiculous but I was always one of those kids who loved having a pen pal. I just love mail!

I heart shoes. I am going to have a really difficult time finding the perfect wedding shoes, but these are my favorite websites:

Romantic Soles - Arleigh $47.97; Betsy Johnson - Ardin $98.00; Nina - Effie $62.97;
Bouquets - Colette $23.81

6pm offers the most affordable selection, with the widest range of prices, however shipping per order is a flat $6.95 and you only have 30 days to make a decision.

Martinez Valero - $87.97; Liz Rene Couture - Saskia $94.95 Luichiny - $68.95;
Badgley Mischka - $200

Best thing about Endless is that they focus on just shoes so they have a great selection. Plus, they offer free overnight shipping on all new styles. So if you love something and you can't wait to try it on, Endless is the place to go! They also offer free 2-day shipping and free standard shipping on most of their shoes, free return shipping, and 100% price guarantee... it really is one of my favorite places to shop. My problem is that I order 5 pairs "just to try on" and convince myself that I need them all. So as long as you have self-control its a great place to go crazy!

Kate Spade Guilia -$325; Pour La Victoire Stella - $151; Badgley Mischka Eavan - $152;
Me Too - Jeannette $72.00

Best things about Zappos is that they have 365 day return policy, which means you have ONE YEAR to return your purchases... PLUS its free shipping BOTH WAYS!

Badgley Mischka - Fidel $229; Vivienne Westwood - Anglomania + Lady Dragon $99; Kate Spade - Charm Heel $325; Juicy Couture - Flora $72; Marc Jacobs MJ14034 - $339

I love Zappos Couture for their great selection but most of their shoes are a little beyond my price range.... I still enjoy looking at all the pretty, shiny things. Plus how adorable are the Vivienne Westwoods! They are a definite a real contender.

Where'd you get your wedding shoes? What sites am I missing?

"There is love of course...

...And then there's life, its enemy." ~ Jean Anouilh

{Badgley Mischka - Elia}

I found these gorgeous shoes on Ebay and have been watching them for 4 days!!!! However, due to my inability to get of bed in time, I lost these shoes by $1!!! They sold for $61 (with free shipping). I am a little devastated. I thought these could be the perfect wedding shoes. Of course I have searched high and low to see if I could find them anywhere else but they are just too expensive... even on all my go to shoe sites.

Boo! I suppose you win some, you lose some.

Shoe Fetish - #2

So I decided about two months ago that if I saw my shoes in more than 10 weddings, I would NOT get them.... Despite my best efforts to avoid it and setting (what I thought was) a fairly high bar, it has happened! In order to get over my obsession with my shoes I have been in search of a replacement obsession (its like when people replace their food addiction with an exercise addiction...except substantially less healthy).

The first pair of shoes that I L.O.V.E. are these L'autre Chose satin gray flats.

{Gilt - Originally $495 On sale for $85!!!}

I am still really torn between getting fabulous flats that would be perfect for the beach or getting a hot pair of pumps that would just be fabulous! (I also look skinnier when I wear pumps... I certainly feel skinnier.) However since I have 2 dresses I think that means I get to get two pairs of shoes. (I may actually be getting a third dress but that's another story for another time!)

So here are some great pumps I love:
{J. Renee Mona Peep Toe Pump - $90}

{Martinez Valero Women's Olivia Platform Pump - $164}

Here are three dream designer shoes that I most certainly can't afford but a girl can dream...

{Kate Spade Women's Grab Peep-Toe Pump - $345}

{Jimmy Choo Lace Glitter Sandals - $525}

{Casadei Women's 5064 Triple Platform Pump -$840}

Made for me...

I am usually not a huge fan of the from reality to inspiration vendor faux weddings but then I saw this one which I think was designed just for me! To be honest, I didn't love anything about the bride. Her dress or her veil, she was really a non-factor but then again this is a vendor wedding so it isn't really about the bride anyway.

So I don't love this particular chandelier but I do love chandeliers so this was a go sign. This chandelier is a little country ranch for me and not as romantic as the inspiration board chandeliers (which are EXACTLY the kind of chandeliers I love).

Then I saw the milk and cookies...which is actually kind of funny because my FF has been begging for milk and cookies at the wedding ever since he had them at a wedding reception.

Love the lace around the flowers and the simple monogrammed detail. I don't really have an family heirlooms but if I did I think this would be a great place to add the something borrowed.

I love love love vintage postage stamps. Another unnecessary but amazingly gorgeous detail. This envelope is so darling. I didn't realize how much calligraphy added to an envelope until I got a recent invitation that was handwritten. (I know... I've become a very judgmental and kind of mean bride-to-be... I'm not sure how it happened.)So after seeing this envelope I immediately googled "calligraphy instructions" thinking I could learn to do my own. Then I also checked out the bio of the calligrapher who did these weddings. Turns out she has 20 years experience and was master trained under some uber famous world class instructors. Did you even know that existed? I was pretty sure that I could just go to Staples or Office Max this weekend and pick up a calligraphy pen and figure it out. I think I still might.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the lace detail on all the wedding paper. Here's more of the great lace detail on the invitation. These invitations are from Paper Moss which I am super excited about checking out!

Then there is this awesome. Gorgeous cake! I love the subtle details. The colors are even my favorite wedding colors, white, pink and a hint of sage. Gorgeous-ness!! It also looks a lot like a three tiered cake I blogged about previously. That cake was a little more ornate and didn't have any green which almost makes me like this cake more! Also it's a two-tiered cake which my wedding planner says is a more appropriate size for my wedding party. I am not convinced. I still love the idea of three tiers.

Last but certainly not least are my SHOES!! I've seen these shoes everywhere. They've been in at least three wedding posts since I blogged about them. I like them so much but I'm not sure if I should get them now (keep in mind: I have no dress, no location and no color scheme picked). Their still on piperlime... but will they be in a year??

Shoe Fetish

I was taking a break from paper writing and practice test taking, and found myself on piperlime. I wasn't really looking for anything. I wasn't really even thinking about weddings. One thing led to another and I found myself on the "wedding chic" page!

How amazing our these shoes!!!! I want them more than I want a wedding cake and a band combined... ok. i'm joking. (kind of).

Here are some other shoes that caught my eye:
{Piperlime}

Would it be wrong to buy shoes before we pick a date, or location???...
