There are SOOO SOOO SOO many DIY pearl necklace tutorials available on the internet but I've filtered through a couple dozen and found my top favorites, which I picked because I thought the necklaces were cool, the inspiration was on point, and the instructions were fairly clear.
I think I may actually try to make my own necklace. One of the best things about living in NYC is the fabric district, it's called that but it's actually a source of all things crafty, from beads, lace, and ribbon, to crystal buttons, and feathers. Basically anything you would need for an arts and crafts project you could find in bulk in the fabric district! That being said, I figure I could make a list of the supplies I'll need and bring them with me to Amsterdam, this def seems like a travel friendly DIY project that I could work on overseas.
Here are some of my favorite DIY posts from around the blogosphere:
I haven't quite decided which one I love....which are your favorites? Have you ever made your own necklace? Am I in over my head??
I like the 2nd the best! I just made my own necklaces for my bridesmaids I will be sharing soon.
ReplyDeleteThey are all amazing! I really like the DIY anthropologie necklace and the last one from Style Me Pretty is great too. I think that is amazing that you want to DIY your necklace. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the ribbon on the side and the pearls! I am a sucker for pearls and bows :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck girlie! I know if it was me trying to make the necklace, I would already be searching for a back up plan hahaha. But I am a DIY novice
So hard to choose! The ribbon and pearl is so understated and beautiful, but I also love the multi strand necklace above it. It really packs a punch! FI's cousin wore a statement necklace similar to that one for her wedding with a vintage lace strapless gown and it looked perfect.
ReplyDeleteyou can totally do this!! my favorite is the last one! go for it!! i'm going to make my own too!!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, pretty pearls. I hope you go for this, I'd love to see what you come up with!
