This is what happened when we tried the oh-so-sweet head on the shoulder move:
I literally couldn't stop smiling! He kept whispering silly nothings in my ear. Sigh. I love the man but he makes it so darn hard!
While I totally recognize that there are lots of reasons to be smiling from ear to ear on my wedding day. I love how intimate and tender those moments are... I only hope that me and Mr. are mature enough (or comfortable enough) to get it together for our big day.
So here's the crazy obsessive bridezilla part: sometimes I make us practice being serious! Usually I just catch our reflection in a mirror in our apartment (usually while we are brushing our teeth or something) or walking by a window or in the review mirror while sitting in a cab. Hehehe. I know its silly and usually ends with us making "blue steel" faces or making gangster faces or just plan silly faces, but I'm honestly worried.
Do you have any photography concerns? How are you dealing with these concerns? Did your e-session calm these fears or make them worse?
Hehehe....while I think you look totally cute with your big smile, I totally understand. I have a big mouth/smile also. This is gonna make me sound totally lame and stupid, but I used to practice smiling a lot. I would practice not showing so much teeth and eventually I learned what worked for me lol
ReplyDeleteYou have gone totally bridecrazy if you think you are going to be able to stop smiling on the happiest day of your life... NO CHANCE!!!! But you will be beautiful no matter what, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem! If I'm not grinning ear to ear in a picture, it's because the photographer snapped the picture when I wasn't expecting it. My friend just got married in July and managed to hold it together for a couple serious pictures, I'm sure you'll be able to as well. My favorite by far though is the picture in serious black and white where she's supposed to be looking elegantly off to the side and is grinning instead because her hubby whispered a joke:)
ReplyDelete@ Jennifer - Totally not lame! I practice all the time now. The entire time we were in LA for thanksgiving I tried to use my new smile to see how it looked in pictures.
ReplyDelete@NS - Thanks sweetie.
@Sarah- I figure that would be the case... so hopefully my photog will catch some good candid photos.
One of the things I noticed after getting our e-photos back was that I barely ever looked straight at the camera. Instead I looked up to the sky or off to the side. Some worked out, but most of them just looked silly (especially the ones where my fiance was looking at the camera and I wasn't). That's the beauty of engagement photos, though - practice for the wedding day!
ReplyDeleteGirl, if I had a smile like yours, I'd be grinning from ear to ear too!
ReplyDeleteYou guys look genuinely happy together and your smile is beautiful. I'm sure you'll have plenty of sweet, tender, serious moments on your big day and if your photographer is good he/she will capture them. If you have more than one photographer the better the chances of catching them.

you have a beautiful smile! Don't hide that from your wedding pics :) I was so happy the day of my wedding that my cheeks hurt pretty bad by the end of the night!
